Cocktails

This is the time of year to enjoy the company of friends and delicious, tempting cocktails made from fabulous Original Juice Co. Black Label juices.

MAKES 6 PREPARATION

Ingredients

  • ½ lemon
  • salt
  • 250ml Tequila
  • 200ml Triple sec
  • 500ml chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Grapefruit Juice
  • 1 ½ cups crushed ice
  • pineapple wedges to serve

Method

  1. Rub the edge of six cocktail glasses with lemon and dip the glass rim onto a plateof salt. Set glasses aside.
  2. Place remaining ingredients into the jug of a blender and blend until smooth.Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

MAKES 6 PREPARATION

Ingredients

  • 6 tsp white sugar
  • ½ punnet raspberries
  • 1 mango, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 2 limes, each cut into 6 wedges
  • 12 sprigs fresh mint
  • 500ml chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple, Lime & Mint Juice
  • 300ml white rum
  • 1 cup crushed ice

Method

  1. Divide sugar and fruits between 6 tall glasses. Crush the fruit using the handle of a wooden spoon or a cocktail muddler. Divide the lime wedges between the glasses and gently crush the limes.
  2. Add two mint leaves to each glass.
  3. Combine Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple, Lime & Mint Juice and rum in a jug. Pour evenly into glasses. Add ice and serve.

Tip

Use fresh raspberries or strawberries, if liked.


MAKES 6 PREPARATION

Ingredients

  • 6 tsp white sugar
  • 2 limes, each cut into 6 wedges
  • 12 sprigs fresh mint
  • 500ml chilled Original Juice Co. Apple, Lime With a Hint of Mint
  • 300ml white rum
  • 1 ½cups crushed ice, or ice cubes

Method

  1. Divide sugar and lime wedges between 6 tall glasses and gently crush the limes using the handle of a wooden spoon or a cocktail muddler. 
  2. Add two mint leaves to each glass.
  3. Combine Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple, Lime With a Hint of Mint and white rum in a jug. Pour evenly into glasses. Add ice and serve.

MAKES 6 PREPARATION 5 MINUTES

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 12 sprigs fresh mint
  • 3 limes, quartered, thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ cups chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Grapefruit juice 
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • soda water, chilled, to serve

Method

  1. Divide the sugar and half the mint between serving glasses. Use a fork to crush the mint into the sugar (see tip).
  2. Fill each glass with an even amount of lime wedges and remaining mint leaves.
  3. Combine the juice and rum in a large jug. Pour evenly into glasses. Add ice and top up with soda water to serve.

Tip

If liked, use a muddler (usually wooden) to do this.


MAKES 6 PREPARATION 5 MINUTES

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 ½ cups chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple & Forest Fruits juice 
  • 150g frozen raspberries
  • ¾ cup white rum
  • juice 2 limes

Method

  1. Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender. Process until well blended.
  2. Pour into chilled cocktail glasses to serve.

Tip

Use fresh raspberries or strawberries, if liked.


MAKES 8-12 PREPARATION 5 MINUTES

Ingredients

  • 1 litre boiling water
  • 4 tea bags
  • ¼ cup caster sugar
  • juice 2 lemons
  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple, Peach & Apricot nectar 
  • ice to serve

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine boiling water and tea bags. Set aside for two minutes. Discard tea bags.
  2. Add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Allow to cool.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and half the lemon slices. Chill overnight.
  4. When ready to serve, stir in nectar and remaining lemon slices. Serve over ice.

Tip

We used black tea, but you can use any flavour you prefer.


MAKES 4 PREPARATION 5 MINUTES

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple, Peach & Apricot nectar
    2 cups chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Grapefruit juice 
  • pulp 4 passionfruit
  • crushed ice
  • 1/3 cup mint leaves

Method

  1. In a large jug, combine juices and passionfruit pulp. Place crushed ice into serving glasses.
  2. Top with an even amount of juice mixture and mint.

Tip

If preferred, use a 170g can of passionfruit pulp.
Use 4 cups of Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple, Peach & Apricot nectar if preferred.


MAKES 6 PREPARATION 5 MINUTES

Ingredients

  • 750ml bottle sparkling wine
  • 2 peaches, peeled, stoned, pureed
  • 2 apricots, peeled, stoned, pureed
  • 1 cup chilled Original Juice Co. Black Label Apple, Peach & Apricot juice
  • 6 sugar cubes

Method

  1. Combine wine, puree and juice in a large jug.
  2. Pour wine into flutes. Top with a sugar cube.

Tip

Puree fruit in a food processor or use a hand blender.
